My super talented friend Kaedell took these ADORABLE pictures of my girls a couple of weeks ago. I am totally in love with them! I had this idea of what I wanted and these are even better than I imagined. Christopher thought I was crazy becasue I wanted to take the pony with us and I wanted to be in a big open field. I knew if anyone could snap some cute pictures with the pony it would be Kaedell.

Tessa was a little nervous to be on Jack without a saddle.

I just laugh when I see this picture. Chloe is going through a stage that she is scared of EVERYTHING. I never thought the day would come when she was scared of her pony. Hopefully it will pass soon.

This is my fav of Tessa. I think it show her personality. She is such a happy and sweet little girl. I love that beautiful smile!!

What a fun month!!!

Wow!!! What a fun month we have already had. I love, love, love summer. It is by far my favorite time of year. We have had lots of fun with family and friends.

I decided to take the girls to Bear Lake. Christopher had to work so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful cabin in Bear Lake and take the kids. The girls got to go on golf cart rides with grandpa.

We also went have been boating at Willard Bay. Tessa loved the boat ride. As for Chloe, she was petrified of the boat in Bear Lake but then when we went to Willard she saw her cousins having fun on the boat so she tried it again and liked it.

RASPBERRY JAM

I think Chloe's favorite food are raspberries. She looks forward all year for Grandpa's raspberries. She can't get enough of them. We made raspberry jam the other day. Chloe had a lot of fun helping me.

Our final product. I think we made 30 jars! They will be gone in no time flat with Christopher and Chloe. They both eat pbj like they are going out of style.

This picture has quite the explanation. Last week I put Tessa down for a nap. Christopher was home so I went to do samples. I came home and Tessa was still asleep. I checked on her and this is what I found. She must have had a messy diaper and did not like it so she took it off. I about died when I saw it. Surprising she was clean, just a little wet. She must have liked sleeping with no diaper on because I had to wake her up at 5:30 after 4 1/2 hours!!!!

On Monday and Tuesday Christopher and I had a little getaway to Midway. Since our anniversary is on Chloe's birthday we never really get to celebrate it. We had such a great time. I have never left Tessa overnight but I was SO ready for a break. The girls stayed with my parents and loved every minute of it. We went to a movie, shopping in Park City and to dinner. The next day my friend Amber got married in the Salt Lake temple.

Last night we took the girls to the Pioneer Day rodeo.

Abby and Chloe had tons of fun. As for Tessa, she was a monster!!! She would not sit down and all she did was cry. I think either Christopher or me was out with her just about the whole rodeo.

Swimming lesson: Chloe has been taking swimming lessons for the past 2 weeks. She had loved every minute of it and learned so much. She would not even go under water before swim lessons. She is know jumping off the diving board and diving for rings at the bottom of the pool.

She was lucky enough to have her cousins: Hunter and Kyla in her class.

A little update on Tessa

A have been feeling a little guilty lately because many of my posts have been about Chloe lately. She has just been busy and Tessa is too young. I decided to do a little update on Tessa. Tessa is a woman on a mission. She cracks me up one minute and then the next I am so frustrated with her. She is in the stage that she wants to do EVERYTHING by herself. Well she is only 19 months old and can't do it. She screams and screams until I let her figure out that she really does need my help. She loves Chloe. She follows her around all day. The other day Chloe slept at Christopher's parents house. The next morning Tessa walked around the house yelling her name. She is lost without her.

The other night we went to the Raptor's game. All Tessa did was get on and off of the chair.

Tessa loves to eat. The other day she was having mac and cheese and she was putting the mac and cheese into her sippy cup (the lid was off because she wanted to do it herself but could not figure it out. It was not worth the fight she water was everywhere). She was so proud of herself. She ate every bit of mac and cheese, so I figure it did not matter how it got in her mouth, just that it did.

Tessa really likes sweets. This is new to me since Chloe will not eat any home baked treats.

Tessa loves her cousin Grace. They are so cute together. They get so excited to see each other.

The other day Tessa was eating lunch and she was so tired. The next thing I look over and she is sound asleep with her sandwich still in her hand.

Tessa I love you so much . You are a little stinker. You definitely have a mind of your own. I think you have hit the terrible two's at 18 months. Maybe you will grow out of it at 2 years. You are such a joy to me. I love being your mom and watching to see what funny thing you will do next.

From the mouth of babes

The other day we were eating breakfast and Christopher came in from outside. He has been training a horse the last month. This horse has been a pain and has already bucked him off once, breaking his ribs.

Christopher: That dang (beep, beep, beep) horse bucked me off again.
Chloe: What did you do to it.
Chritopher: I about riped it face off.
Chloe: Well, it is a good thing Jesus put faces on so tight.

Happy 4th of July

What a great 4th of July we had this year. Since the 4th was on Sunday we celebrated for 4 days straight. Boy were we tired by Monday night. When I say we I really meant Chloe and Tessa. On Friday we went to Plain City annual dinner. The girls LOVED their Popsicles. Tessa was to total mess after her Popsicle.
Chloe and Abby had so much fun dancing. They were so funny. What would it be like to be a kid again? They have no cares in the world. They were the only ones dancing and they were LOVING it!!!

The next morning we went to the Plain City parade. Tessa loved the parade and picking up candy.

Chloe was in the parade with her dance class. I don't think she danced the whole parade. She just sat there smiling.

After Plain City's parade we hurried down to Warren so Chloe could ride her bike in the parade. I am sure people wondered why she was wearing a dance costume. We just did not have time to change. Warren's parade cracked me up. It starts at one end of the park and goes to the corner and then everyone turns around and goes back. I guess that what a small town is all about.

After the parade we hurried back so Chloe could dance in the park in Plain City.

I did not get a good picture of the girls together in their cute 4th of July clothes. This is the best on I have.

After the celebration in the park we went to my parents to cool off. The girls love to swim.

Later that night Bryce set off some fireworks. Tessa had to much fun. Chloe was scared of the fireworks for some reason. She is going through a stage that she is scared of EVERYTHING!!! She is driving me crazy. I hope she grows out of it. After the fireworks we headed to Fremont for some more fireworks. Well that was a mistake. Both kids crying while Christopher and I are trying to have fun. Dang it we are having fun. Tessa fell asleep after watching 2 fireworks and then Chloe cheered up and had fun.

On the 4th we went to Christopher's parent for dinner and more fireworks.

All snuggled up ready for the fireworks. It was soooooooooo cold that night. Tessa did not last so we had to go in the house. Chloe was not scared this time. She actually loved the fireworks.

The next night we went to Farr West for their delicious dinner. They have the same dinner every year, Greek food. We never miss their dinner because it is sooo good and cheap. We decided the kids had had enough so we missed the fireworks. We had such a great weekend celebrating our freedom. I am so grateful to be part of this great nation where we are free to chose as we please.

Jackson Hole

A couple of weeks ago we went camping to Jackson Hole. We had tons of fun! We went with my family. It was so much fun because all of my sibling, their spouses and kids we all there (and of course Mom and Dad). Being all together does not happen very often since Ali lives in Kentucky and Megan lives in Spanish Fork. We decided to drive up after Chloe's dance review. It rained and rained the whole way up there. We watch the temperature drop and drop and keep dropping until it got in the 30's. Did I mention we were sleeping in tents! We got to our campground around 11:30 and thanks to my dad our tent was all set up. That night I think I nearly froze. Chloe was as snug and a bug in a rug. I don't think she moved all night. She may not have been able to since she had 6 blankets on her. Tessa was scared so she got to sleep with me. We toughed out a cold night but we survived and were excited to have some fun. The next morning we decided to needed to go somewhere because it was just too cold to stay at our camp. We decided to go to Jenny Lake and Jackson Hole. Jenny Lake was so much fun. It is beautiful. We hiked half way around and then rode a fairy back. Chloe thought we were going to ride on a princess type fairy (s0 funny), The kids did so good with the hike. Chloe at Jenny Lake

This picture is out of order but this rock was in our camp and it was a hit. The kids called it there rocket ship. They played on it all day long.

The next day we decided it was too cold to stay at the camp ground so we went to Yellowstone.

On our way out of the park we even got to see a Bear.

The last night it did warm up and we had a lot of fun in the tent. Everyone one slept great. Tessa is happy after a good night sleep.

By the end of the trip we were all a little silly. Being with cousins for 4 days straight does that to a 4 year old.

One happy and might I say messy camper!!

We did go down the Snake River on Saturday morning. I think I will save that story for another post.

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us on such a fun camping trip. I am embarrassed to say this was the first time my girls went 'real camping'. We always just go to the cabin in Bear Lake. We love it there but we had so much fun hopefully we will make it camping a couple of times each summer. My kids LOVED every minute of it.
