IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

I have really grown to love my little neighborhood and when I say little I mean very little. Me and the girls frequently walk around our neighborhood. Lately Chloe had decided she wanted to try riding her bike around our block. Now our block is not a small block, it is 2 miles. Chloe does make it all the way around our block. I thought is should document where we live and after looking at these pictures and realized how beautiful our neighborhood is. I feel so blessed to live where we do and am excited to raise our family here.

We actually live in Blossom. I found out is was named Blossom because of the cherry orchards that were here when it was first settled. I think Blossom's population is about 75!! We really, really live out in the country (BFE)!!!

Chloe cruising down the street with Roanie in tow. Roanie always goes with us for protection. There are some mean and scary dogs that live down the road. They are tied up most of the time but sometimes they are not. I have mace in my stroller and am not afraid to use it!!!

Here is Miss Caution. She did not want to ride her bike down the hill ( small downward bump in the road) because she just took her helmet off because she was sweating too much.

a wheat field,

and a massive corn field,

This particular night we watched a beautiful sunset.

And you can not forget the lovely swamps that bring the dang mosquito's. I think Chloe just about got carried away because the mosquito's were attacking her. I could not tell her because she would have had a fit.

I did not mention the skunks. Last night I went running by myself around 8:15 and found myself about 3 feet away from a skunks back side. I do not think I have ever ran that fast. The rest of my run I was so jumpy. I was nervous of all the the creature lurking in the ditches.

I really do love where we live and am grateful for all the beauties around us.

Bear Lake with my friends

A couple of weeks ago I invited Cara and Geana and their kids to Bear Lake. We went last year and had such a fun time letting our kids get to know each other better and having some girl time. This year was even better since I did not have a baby. I think everyone had tons of fun and can't wait to go next year.

The second day we took them to the beach. All of the kids were dying to go since the day before it was way too windy to go. The second we got to the beach the kids went wild. They were making me laugh. They would run from toy to water to another toy back to the water. They were so excited to have free reign.

Preschool

Yesterday was Chloe's first day of preschool. She was so excited to start school. She was a little nervous because it was at a new school with a new teacher and kids she did not know. She was excited to meet new friends. I have no doubt that she will have no problem making new friends. She is a social butterfly. She will talk to anybody even if she does not know them. She had a great day and can't wait to to go back on Monday.

Tessa wanted to be in the picture with Chloe. Tessa asked me about 20 times where Chloe was. I would say she was at school and Tessa would just say 'oh' each time. It was so funny. Tessa will miss Chloe while she is at preschool.

So the other day I got done combing Chloe's hair and I just looked at her and wondered where time has gone. I think it was just yesterday that she was my little baby girl that I was rocking to sleep. I can't believe she is already 4 years old. Chloe has such pretty long hair and the cutest freckles. Her hair lightens a lot in the summer and she gets many more freckles. Chloe loves to wear these dress up shoes all day long. We finally bought some more since we only had one pair and we were having fights hourly over the princess shoes.
Of course since I was taking pictures of Chloe, Tessa wanted hers taken as well.

Camping Fun

A couple of weeks ago we packed up a decided to go camping. I have been begging Christopher to take us camping for years. He never camped as a kid and I did and have great memories. I knew that our kids would love it and love it they did!!! We tried to go to Southfork but there were no campground left. We decided to go to Northfork to see if there we any spot left. We found a spot and started to unpack. After about 5 minutes of being out of the truck Tessa looked like this!! I knew I was in for a treat. I have a really hard time with dirty kids. I have to keep telling myself that Tessa is okay dirty. She was having a ball playing in the dirt.

The next day we drove to Southfork to enjoy the river.

Hilary and Colton were brave enough to come with us. Chloe was attached to Hilary at the hip. I think by the end of the three day Hilary was going crazy.

P.S. By the way I was present on this camping trip. There is not one picture to document that. Christopher is not much into taking pictures. That is just fine with me. He decided to finally take us camping. We had tons of fun and I can't wait until we can go again.

Happy Birthday Grandma's

The last couple of weeks we celebrated 2 out of 3 Great-Grandma's birthday's. My Grandma Moyes celebrated in 85th birthday on the 15th. We celebrated by having a barbecue in my parents backyard. It was so fun to see all of my cousins that I have not seen for such a long time. We feel very blessed to have Grandma here with us. She has had some health issues this summer and it was a little touch and go for awhile with her. Grandma is definitely one of a kind. You never have to wonder what Grandma is thinking. She says it like it is (0r how she thinks it is). I feel like I have got to know her a lot better this last year or two. She loves to go to lunch. Her favorite restaurant is Red Robin. Whenever we go to lunch that is always her first choice. I really do enjoy spending time with her and learning more about her life. I like to ask her questions about parenting just because I like to here her stories. She loves my kids and they love her. They look forward to the nights that she come for dinner. I hope they will remember the memories we are making with her! Just some random pictures of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Happy Summer

Nothing says summer better than eating watermelon. As you can see Tessa really enjoys it. I love summer!!! I love being together outdoors, swimming, camping, boating, bbq's and everything there is about it. I have mixed emotions about summer coming to an end. I do like it because Christopher has to come in the house earlier and life seems to slow down a little.

BaBiEs

Tessa is OBSESSED with these two babies. I don't know what has her totally mesmerized with these dolls. I think they are the two ugliest dolls we have. They are covered in dirt and never have clothes on. I ask her every day if we can get them dressed and the answer is always 'NO'. She wants to take them everywhere with us. She sleeps with them and they have an exact place in her bed. I do not remember Chloe loving babies as much as Tessa does. It is so cute to watch her mother them. She tries to put her diapers on them, feed them, and wrap them in blankets.
Tessa is such a happy and energetic little girl. She makes me laugh everyday. It is so fun to watch her learn new things every day. About a month ago she started talking and talking and more talking. I don't think there is anything that she does not try to say. She repeats EVERYTHING Chloe says. I always tell Chloe that she has to be a good example because Tessa does everything she does.

Discovery Gateway

Last week some of my friends from my new ward (yes, I am making friends down here!!!) rode the Frontrunner to Salt Lake and then we went to Discovery Gateway. We had so much fun!! Part of the reason I had so much fun was because Tessa stayed home with Christopher. That sounded really mean. Tessa would have been soooooooo hard on the Frontrunner. I did feel kind of guilty because she would have loved Discovery. It was such a fun place. We could have stayed there for hours.
