Halloween Festivities

Having kids is just the best! They make holidays so exciting. We had such a fun Halloween season this year. The girls were able to wear their costumes several times which they thought was so fun. I downloaded my pictures backwards but it will just have to do. On Saturday my parents had us over for a fun Halloween party.

On Monday night we went to Granny's house for a pumpkin walk. The kids had tons of fun and Granny was so proud of the kids..

Of course they all wanted to go on a pony ride. I laughed because the kids can just go in their own back yard a ride. Oh well, as you can see Tessa loved it.

I guess I have to at least document out costume. We went to two dress-up parties. My mom came up with this super easy idea. I was so proud of Christopher that he would dress up. This is the first time since we have been married that he has happily gone to a Halloween party, let alone dress up.

The Elk Hunt

A couple of weeks ago Christopher went elk hunting. This hunt was planned and planned out. Christopher, his dad, and Hilary and Colton (sister and brother-in-law) went scouting for the best place to go hunting. For three weeks they road the horses into camp to get in ready. They make this great camp. They made a table out of wood, cleared places for their tents and took supplies in. When it was finally time to go hunting, Christopher was soooo excited. This year was the first year they had ever taken the horse in and set up camp like they did. They had tons of fun but no luck when it came to actually seeing any elk. I don't know what we would really do with and elk if he ever got one. I just don't know if I could cook it let alone eat elk.

Christopher was gone 5 day. It was way too long for me. I don't know how single mom to it. It is hard work!!! Boy was I glad when Christopher walked through the door and even to make things better the girls only wanted their dad for a few day after.

This fall we were able to put our yard in. The girls loved playing in the dirt and helping out.

Chloe and Tessa thought the dirt was so fun to run and play in. They were so disappointed when Christopher leveled the 'mountain'.

I need to take a picture of the final product. It is not done but we planted grass last weekend. There some green poking thought the dirt. We can't wait have grass to play on next spring. Thanks Christopher for working so hard and doing such a great job on our yard. We LOVE it!!!

One GREAT weekend

Last weekend me and the girls went to Bear Lake with my parents. Christopher was elk hunting so I decided I did not want to stay home alone so I headed to Bear Lake with my mom. What an awesome weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect. What a great fall we are having. Since Chloe and Tessa were the only grand kids at the cabin they were totally spoiled.

We had such a fun weekend. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us come with you!!!

ToNsiLs OUT- TubEs iN AGAIN!!!

Tessa had her tonsils and adenoids out and tubes put in for the 2nd time. The poor little girl is always sick. She never complains about it and I usually don't even know she has an ear infection. The doc decided it was time to take her tonsils out and put tubes back in. I was totally freaking out about this surgery. Tessa is only 22 months old. She is way too young to have this done!!! I was way nervous about the surgery but it went great.

Tessa could not wait to get in the crib. She wanted to go for a ride. She keep telling me 'bye'. There were no tears from Tessa when they took her to surgery. It made it easier for us to let her leave but I still shed a few tears.

The surgery went very well but Tessa had a really, really, really hard time coming out the the anesthesia. She was like some wild, crazy child. She was screaming and crying for 1 1/2 hours. They had to give her something in her IV to calm her down. The medicine that calmed her down made her oxygen level go down so she needed some oxygen. She thought the mask was really fun to hold up to her nose. She like the air that was blowing out.

Tessa thought the remote to the TV was a phone. She held it up to her ear for hours. She loved eating all of the Popsicles she wanted.

We took Tessa on a wagon ride outside to see the pond.

Tessa did so great that we were able to come home later the same day. The doctor told us we would probably have to stay over night. I was not looking forward to it so I was so excited when they let us leave. Her recovery was super easy. She loved eating ice cream and Popsicles. Hopefully now Tessa will stay healthy and start sleeping better.
