Jackson Hole

A couple of weeks ago we went camping to Jackson Hole. We had tons of fun! We went with my family. It was so much fun because all of my sibling, their spouses and kids we all there (and of course Mom and Dad). Being all together does not happen very often since Ali lives in Kentucky and Megan lives in Spanish Fork. We decided to drive up after Chloe's dance review. It rained and rained the whole way up there. We watch the temperature drop and drop and keep dropping until it got in the 30's. Did I mention we were sleeping in tents! We got to our campground around 11:30 and thanks to my dad our tent was all set up. That night I think I nearly froze. Chloe was as snug and a bug in a rug. I don't think she moved all night. She may not have been able to since she had 6 blankets on her. Tessa was scared so she got to sleep with me. We toughed out a cold night but we survived and were excited to have some fun. The next morning we decided to needed to go somewhere because it was just too cold to stay at our camp. We decided to go to Jenny Lake and Jackson Hole. Jenny Lake was so much fun. It is beautiful. We hiked half way around and then rode a fairy back. Chloe thought we were going to ride on a princess type fairy (s0 funny), The kids did so good with the hike. Chloe at Jenny Lake

This picture is out of order but this rock was in our camp and it was a hit. The kids called it there rocket ship. They played on it all day long.

The next day we decided it was too cold to stay at the camp ground so we went to Yellowstone.

On our way out of the park we even got to see a Bear.

The last night it did warm up and we had a lot of fun in the tent. Everyone one slept great. Tessa is happy after a good night sleep.

By the end of the trip we were all a little silly. Being with cousins for 4 days straight does that to a 4 year old.

One happy and might I say messy camper!!

We did go down the Snake River on Saturday morning. I think I will save that story for another post.

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us on such a fun camping trip. I am embarrassed to say this was the first time my girls went 'real camping'. We always just go to the cabin in Bear Lake. We love it there but we had so much fun hopefully we will make it camping a couple of times each summer. My kids LOVED every minute of it.

Dance Review

Chloe danced in her first dance recital last week. She did such a great job. It was so fun for me to watch her dance. She could not stop smiling the whole time she was dancing. It was just so cute. Chloe has been taking dance since September and she loves every minute of it. I think her favorite part is wearing her costume and makeup. Every day since her recital she asks me if she can wear makeup. She is already looking forward to next time so she can wear makeup.

Chloe even got a trophy (which she has hardly put down).

Good Job Chloe. You did such a great job and you looked so pretty.

PiNkALiCiOuS

Chloe decided she wanted a Pinkalicious party. Her favorite color is pink, pink, and more pink. We had a lot of fun planning the party. Chloe wanted pink cupcakes, pink popcorn, pink bubblegum, pink lemonade, pink ice cubes, pink marshmellows, pink plates, cups and napkins. You name it, we had it PINK. Chloe got to go the night before her birthday to Build a Bear with my mom. She choose this pink bear and all of the accessories were pink. She was SOOOOO excited to have a special night with Grandma Kay. After she got home that night Chloe was so funny. She was on a high. She could not stop talking or smiling. She has a lot of fun and felt very special to have one-on-one time with Grandma. Chloe got these new boots for her birthday and a
NEW BIKE!!!

Happy Father's Day!!!

I just wanted to wish the Father's in my life and Happy Father's Day. We have had a busy but FUN week. Tuesday was Chloe's 4th birthday and our 6th wedding anniversary. Since Chloe's birthday is on our anniversary we just celebrate it later. We had a fun pinkalicious party for Chloe (pictures and detail later). Then on Wednesday it was Chloe's first dance recital. She loved it and dance great. As soon as Chloe was done dancing we headed to Jackson Hole. We camped there for 4 days and just got home last night (pictures to come later as well). I am not ready for Father's Day so we are celebrating it next Sunday at our house. I did want to tell my dad and Christopher how much I love them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!!

WOW!!! Chloe I can not believe another year has gone by. You are 4!!! I can not believe how old you are getting. I love you so much and am so grateful to be your mom. You are such a joy to me and your dad. Everyday is an adventure with you. You keep life interesting and enjoyable. I think you make me laugh every single day. This year you have had a lot of 'firsts'.

You started preschool. You loved every minute of it. You learned a lot in school and could not wait to go everyday. Chloe you are one smart little girl. You know how to write all of your letters and can write many words by your self.

You started taking dancing. I think your favorite part was learning popcorn claps and doing somersaults. You are a little ballerina. Your teacher is Shantel and you think she is the best!!

We built our first home. You loved to help Dad with the house. You even got to pick out your favorite rock and put in on the house.

You learn how to spell and write your name.

You are a cowgirl. You love everything about being a cowgirl.

We went to Princesses on Ice and you dress up as Belle.

We went to St. George for Thanksgiving and you ate pizza, ice cream, M&M, and jelly beans for dinner. It was the BEST Thanksgiving dinner you had ever had.

We rode on the Polar Express and you LOVED it!!!

We had a great Christmas in our new home. You got a camera oh, and a PONY. You love your pony, Jack the Black Stallion Horse. You like to feed him everyday.

You got your tonsils out and you thought it was FUN.

You started Sunbeams. Your teacher are Sister Kami and Sister Jamie. You have 8 boys in your class and you and you are the only girl. You stand your own and can't wait to go each week. You love learning the Articles of Faith. You already have the first 3 memorized and would probably have more if I was more on the ball. You have an AMAZING memory and you never forget anything (good and bad).

You discovered how much you LOVE the snow. You would sled down this huge hill in Bear Lake all by yourself. You also love to snowmobile.

You love your cousins. You also started to play 'Rodeo'.

You love to help me cook and you never let us forget our matching aprons.

You are the best sister. Tessa is so lucky to have you for a sister. You are always thinking of her. If you get something you make sure you get one for Tessa. You help me out all of the time with Tessa. She loves you and loves to play with you. Tessa follows you all around the house and does everything you do.

We got a new puppy and name her Cinch. You love to play with her but she likes to tease you and then you cry.

You learned to pump (which make me very happy). You love to swing and play outside. You don't care that we don't have grass you just dig in the dirt.

Chloe thanks for being such a good little girl. You really try to do what you know you should. You want to make me and Dad happy. You also want to do what Jesus wants you to. You love to say your prayers and do nice things for other people. I love being your mom and can not wait to see what year 4 has in store for us. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

MAY

May is such a busy month for our family. So our busyness starts at the end of April. The last week I have 2 sister-in-laws birthdays. Ali's birthday in on the 7th and her boy's is on the 8th. Then Hilary's birthday is on the 12th, mine the 16th, Chris (father-in-law) 17th and my dad's is the 18th. Sometime in there is Mother's Day. After that I have a fews days break until the 27th and then it is my mom's birthday and Edee's (Mother-in-law) on the 30th. Then Memorial Day. This year Jacalyn (Christopher's youngest sister) graduated from Fremont. I love May but it is a little busy, not to mention a pricey month for us. Here are a few pictures that I have not yet posted.

For my mom's birthday we meet Megan down at the Gateway. We had a lot of fun. I don't know how great of an idea it was to take 4 kids under the age of 3 shopping ALL day. They really loved the fountains and wanted to get in. Chloe's mentality was if she put on her jacket she could get wet.
For Memorial Day I took the girls to the Bear Lake (Christopher had to work). We had tons of fun just relaxing and playing with the kids. It was cold most of the weekend but we still let the kids get out and have fun. My parents have had a gofer problem- they have been eating their lawn. So my dad and the kids sent out on a quest to shoot them. My dad shot one half in/ half out of its hole. If you look close you can see its dead body hanging out of the hole. The kids thought it was so funny.

Tessa loved playing outside. She had tons of fun as long as she did not have to go to bed. She really did not like sleeping this weekend. In fact I don't know how a 18 month old can function on such little sleep.

We came home on Sunday for Edee's birthday. It was hard to get all the kids to hold still long enough for a picture. Tessa was not happy about it so we let her have a toy.
