Our Christmas baby!!!

Chloe got this microphone from her cousin Ben for Christmas. It is high school musical and she ABSOULETY loves it. It can be quite annoyinig but to see the look on her face it is totally worth it. Thanks Ben!!!!

Chloe got to be Mary at our Christmas Eve party. She took her part very serious. If you look at her red shoes they were Christopher's mom's shoes when she was little. Chloe thinks it is pretty cool to get to wear them.

Christmas morning- We had tons of fun. Chloe was so excited that Santa ate her cookies that she left. She had fun opening her present but if it was a box she would just hand it over to Christopher and start on another one.

Grandma and Grandpa gave Chloe this princess castle tent. She loves it!!! I don't know where we will ever put it in our house. She will get to have it out on special occasions and on days that she is driving me crazy.

Well, it has been a while since my last post. I am trying to adjust to having 2 kids. Life has been kind of crazy with Christmas, family, and a new baby. I am loving ever minute of it (well maybe not all of the middle of the night feedings). Tessa is doing great. She is growing like crazy. She is getting a double chin and chubby cheeks. It is funny how you forget how much work a newborn is. I think it has to be that way because I don't know how many kids anyone would have. We had a great December with all of our fun family parties and Christmas traditions. Christmas is my favorite time of year. We had such a great Christmas and loved spending so much time with our families. We look forward to 2009. Happy New Year to you ALL!!!

We are very happy to announce the birth of our daughter Tessa. She was born on Monday, December 1st, weighing 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. I know the name is throwing everyone off becasue it is not Charlie or Lily but we decided that Tessa just fit better. I liked the name Tessa at the first of my pregnancy but Christopher did not. About a month ago I told Christopher that we really needed to decide on a name. We were not sure that we really loved either of our names. I asked him again if he liked Tessa and he did. I don't know what changed his mind but we love it. Tessa is such a blessing to our family. Just today I was holding her and thinking that we have only had her in our family for 6 days but what would we ever do without her. She is such a sweet baby. Totally different from Chloe. Not that Chloe was not a sweet baby becasue she was but Tessa is really calm and is a great sleeper. I know that will probably will change but we can take advantage of that now. Chloe LOVES being a big sister. She is so sweet with Tessa. She wants to know where she is at all times and is always kissing her and telling her that she loves her. I thought she would have a much harder time but she is handling it very well. We will see how things go tomorrow when Christopher and my mom have to go back to work. More to come!

This year was our turn to go with my family for Thanksgiving. We get to go to my parents cabin. It is a little wild but tons of fun. After dinner we make gingerbread houses. The next day we go cut down our Christmas trees. It is so much fun. This year I was worried that I was not going to be able to go because my doctor told me not to go. Well we went anyways. I am sure glad that we did because obviously nothing happened. We had tons of fun.

Christopher has been wanting to I Fly ever since it opened. So for his birthday I gave him a gift certificate. Last night we decided to give it a try. He had tons of fun and it was so fun to watch. Chloe thought it was great that her dad was flying. He can't wait to do it again. The pictures are not the best but they are still fun.

We are going private

We have been thinking about going private for awhile. Christopher has been telling me ever since I started my blog that we should go private, so I have decided to. Just let me know and I will put you on my list. I want all of my friends to be able to watch our family grow so please don't feel funny to reply. I love reading all of my friends and families blog and I hate it when I can not get into someone else. I am doing this with mixed feeling but it guess it is time.

Chloe loved Halloween this year. She had so much fun trick-0r-treating. I did not know if she would wear her costume since she did not want anything to do with it at our family Halloween Party. We told her that if she wanted treats she had to put it on. I was very thankful that Erin, Ben and Abby came over right as we were getting her costume. I don't think she would have worn it unless they got excited about it with me. As soon as we started trick-or-treating Chloe decided that Halloween was AWESOME. She figure out after the first house that if she hurried she would get more candy. She did not waste anytime at anyone home. The second she was had her candy she would say thank you and walk away. Holidays are so much more fun when you have kids.

Fall Fun

Chloe loves to play in the leaves. I was quite surprised that she liked it so much since she hates getting dirty and she does not like it when anything touches her that is not soft. All she has wanted to do lately is play in the leaves. She loves to get buried and cover anyone and everything around in leaves. She kept asking me to lay down so she could cover me in leaves. I kept telling her no but Grandma will do ANYTHING for Chloe. I keep telling Chloe that she has the nicest Grandma ever. If you can't tell the picture above it my mom covered in leaves.

I know this is just a random picture of Chloe but I could not resist posting it. A few days ago I heard Chloe just giggling in her room. I go in and this is what I find. If you can't tell she has taken the sink out of her kitchen and climbed in. She was pretty proud of herself.

1-where did you meet? I think we met at the Weber County Fair when we were in elementary. In my junior high journal I wrote that I thought this guy named Christopher Walker was cute. He secretly had a crush on me too.
2-how long did you date before you got married? We broke up a few times but all together probably 8 months (I don't really know) and we were engaged for 3 months.
3-how long have you been married? 4 years
4-what is your favorite feature of his? his personality- he can always make me laugh
5-what is your favorite quality of his? He is very non-judgemental and friendly- Christopher has friends EVERYWHERE, if he does not know anyone he will very soon.
6-does he have a nickname for you? honey or Punky Bruster (I don't know where that came from).
7-what is his favorite food? toss up between prime rib and sushi
8-what is his favorite sport? the only sport we would ever watch at our house would be rodeo.
9-when and where was your first kiss? I can't remember, since we broke up a few different times. I think at my house as he was leaving.
10-what is your favorite thing to do as a couple? I really love to ride horse with him but that does not happen very often, I also love going on dates.
11-do you have kids? one girl and another girl due in a month.
12-does he have a hidden talent? He is the best dancer (not ballroom or anything like that, I guess it is the kind of dancing you would do clubbing????)
13-how old is he? 28, 29 in 10 days.

15-what is his favorite type of music? just about anything except Christmas music
16-what do you admire the most about him? How hard he works for his family and the awesome husband and dad he is.

The pumpkin patch

Last night for family night we decided to go to my friends pumpkin patch. Chloe had tons of fun. We told her to go pick out a pumpkin and she wanted the first one she saw. Christopher told her to go look out in the field and find one that she wanted. She picked a white, funny looking pumpkin. We told her that she could get an orange one also but she only wanted the white one. She is such a funny little girl.

I just love this time of year. I love the season change and the nights when we can just be home together as a family having fun. It makes me think about all of my many blessings. I could not be happier with my little family or feel more blessed.

Last week Christopher was able to go Elk hunting with his dad. They had a lot of fun but no success with the elk (which was okay with me!). I sent the camera with him and told him to take some pictures. He never takes any pictures so I made sure to tell him that I wanted to see some. If you look through our scrapbooks you would not think I even existed. I do all of the picture taking in our family. Well I guess I gave him a hard enough time because I think he took at least 75 pictures. Most of them were of the side of a mountain and my favorite, elk droopings. There were a couple of him and his dad having fun on their horses.

Today I got to have another ultrasound. They decided to do some pictures for us in 4D. I can not believe how cute this picture is. Maybe I am prejudice but I think she is pretty cute. She looks like Chloe to me. We are having a hard time deciding on a name. For a long time it was Charlie, but know we can not decided between Charlie and Lily. Let us know what you all think. I told Christopher that I like either so it is up to him. He does not think that I fair that he has to make the final decision.

Last week my parents we nice enough to invite me and Chloe along with them on their vacation to Yellowstone. My sister Megan and Molly went with us also. We had such a fun time. I think Chloe's favorite part of the trip was playing with her cousin Molly. They giggled the entire time we were gone. We stayed in some beautiful condos in West Yellowstone for a couple of nights. It was so fun to drive around the park and see all of the beautiful things in Yellowstone. Chloe had a great time. She really like to see the water squirt out of the ground (Old Faithful). She was excited when we saw a whole bunch a elk, but even more excited about the elk potty. She though it was really funny for some reason. After Yellowstone we stopped in Jackson for a few hours so walk around and eat ice cream. After Jackson we went to my aunt and uncles house in Driggs. We had a great time relaxing at their house. The next day we drove to the cabin in Bear Lake for a couple more days. It was a great trips and even better to get out the house for a few days. Thanks mom and dad for letting us come with you. We loved it!!!
