The simple joys!!

"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will ---to your surprise ---miss them profoundly."
President Thomas S. Monson

I saw this quote and it made me really appreciate my children more and to slow down and take time to enjoy this stage in my life. But to be honest I am very grateful right now for a napping child and Sesame Street.

Tessa has been do difficult the lasts few weeks. She just stands at me feet and cries until I hold her. She used to play and was a very content kids but not lately. She wants to do everything Chloe does. She wants to climb in the car by herself, eat everything big (not cut up), and all the things Chloe gets to do because she is older. It is driving me crazy. I told Christopher this morning that her looks are deceiving because she looks so sweet and innocent but she is not. Well, I take that back because she still is my sweet girl but she has a very naughty side to her. Tessa, I love you to pieces, I just wish you would let me shower without you crying by my door and let me go to the bathroom by myself.

Sadie is doing the same thing. My arms get tired from holding her all day. I guess it's life, huh?

I needed that quote today. That's exactly how I have been feeling and I need to slow down and relish it.

I love that quote! I remind myself of it when I'm down on my hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floor and I see fingerprints all over my walls. :)

I love that quote.
You should just put Tessa in the shower with you! Thats what I started doing when Gavin would cry at the door. Gavin loves it now, but maybe she won't like it and that will be the end of it. He is also wanting to be so independent right now! He does those same things, like wanting big food and to do everything on his own. But you gotta love 'em.

I'm writing that quote down and putting it on my fridge. I think I need to read it every single day!

We had lots of fun seeing you guys this weekend...wish Molly and Chloe could play more often.

And cute picture of the girls! Love you!
