Five years ago today, Christopher and I got engaged. I can not believe how fast time has flown by but then it seems like we have been together forever.
Our day started by Christopher waking me up early and asking me if I wanted to go to breakfast. He also told me that he needed to fix some fence at his parents house and he asked me if I wanted to help. He knew that I would say 'yes' because we would do anything to be together. We were madly in love. Let me rewind a bit... we had been ring shopping and I had picked out the perfect ring. I knew that he had been back but I did not know if he had the ring yet. We had already set a date but had not told anyone. I was getting a little impatient to get engaged so we could get on with the wedding planning because we had set our date for June 15. I was ticked at him this weekend because he told me that he was going to Elko with his friend Marty to see his family. I thought for sure this would be the weekend we would get engaged but then he told me that he was leaving town. So I was a little surprised when he called me on Saturday morning and said that he decided to stay home. On with the story... I was so excited to go with him just hoping that this may be the BIG DAY. I got all dressed up. I still remember I put on this really cute white shirt. I was ready to get engaged and show off my shinny new ring. He came and picked me up and took one look at what I was wearing and told me that you do not wear nice clothes to fix fence in and that I needed to go in and change. My mom saw what was happening and came up to my room and I told her that I did not think that he would propose today because Christopher told me to change my clothes and he was not wearing nice clothes. If you know Christopher very well he always dresses nice. Once we were married I had to talk in out of ironing EVERY single thing he wore. He was wearing work clothes. Needless to say I was totally bummed. We went to breakfast at Moore's and then off to fix fence. As we were working and almost done with one side of the fence I looked down the fence and saw some flowers. I said to myself, 'don't keep looking I am sure it is nothing'. I was got closer and closer I could tell that there was a bouquet of flowers. After he knew that I had seen then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was ESTACTIC!!!!! I could not believe that this was really happening to me. I had waited so long and I could not have been more happy.
I can not believe how much we have accomplished in five years. We know have 2 beautiful daughters and are still madly in love. I could not be happier and feel very lucky to be married to my hubby. Thanks Christopher for everything you do for me and our little girls. You are a great daddy and husband. We love you!!!!!
